Part of a global group, a market leading industrial combustion consultancy are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join their growing team. In this role you will support product development and project execution with specification, design, installation, and commissioning of industrial combustion equipment including the burners, fuel valve trains and BMS (Burner Management Systems).

In this position you would work on projects for a number of different industries from mining to food production, and you would help developa variety of combustion systems including fuels such asbiomass and hydrogen.

This would be an ideal role for someone with a Process Engineer background mixed with either mechanical or electrical engineering knowledge.

Essential Duties

  • Prepare system PFDs and P&IDs.
  • Perform system and process design calculations for equipment sizing.
  • Prepare project specifications and data sheets for package equipment.
  • Prepare quality plans and equipment ITPs.
  • Prepare valve and instrument lists for package equipment.
  • Prepare functional design specifications for package control/safety systems.
  • Prepare technical installation, operation and maintenance manuals.
  • Prepare commissioning and start-up procedures and check sheets.
  • Technical and commercial evaluation of supplier proposals.
  • Manage suppliers and contractor delivery including review of engineering design, inspection, and testing of equipment.

Required Skills:

  • HND or degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or Chemical). Applicants with significant industrial experience and the required skills will also be considered
  • Demonstrable experience of engineering design within the mining, minerals, or similar industrial environment.
  • Experience supervising installation and commissioning activities in an industrial environment.
  • Prior experience of combustion equipment in an industrial environment would be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to support project and business needs (typically 2-4 times per year).
  • Experience of creating P&IDs & PFDs
  • Ability to create equipment and project specifications
