About the Role:We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Technical Operations Manager to work within a varied role managing a team of lighting technicians, logistics and production management for trade shows, inventory management, and building maintenance for a warehouse and product demonstration facility in High Wycombe.

Strong managerial experience along with knowledge of entertainment lighting systems would be essential to ensure success within this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

    • Lead and manage a team of 1–2 lighting technicians.
    • Provide guidance and support for technical setups, ensuring all staff perform to the highest standards.

Technical Operations:

    • Oversee the setup and maintenance of demo rooms, ensuring all equipment is clean, functional, and show-ready.
    • Supervise the maintenance of shutters and building systems.
    • Schedule and oversee trade shows, training days, and demonstrations.
    • Manage inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and in optimal condition.
    • Prioritise workload, managing expectations on requests from internal staff.

Production Management:

    • Coordinate and oversee technical requirements for trade shows, product demonstrations and training events.
    • Arrange transportation for equipment and staff to trade shows as required.

Customer Service:

    • Ensure the client area is prepared for any visitors.
    • Conduct regular checks to ensure everything is working and client-ready.

Building Maintenance:

    • Supervise ongoing maintenance tasks, ensuring the facility is always in excellent condition.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of entertainment lighting systems.
  • Proven experience in production or technical management.
  • Ability to oversee building maintenance and technical operations.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage high-pressure situations.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Right to work in the UK

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in managing technical teams within the entertainment or event lighting sector.
  • Background in theatre or event production, with an understanding of trade show requirements.

Package:

  • £45K - £50K Salary
  • Bonus paid twice a year (up to £5,000 annually).
  • 23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pension contributions.
  • Paid overtime
