Description
- Assisting with the planning and forecasting of sales
- Ensuring optimal stock levels to maximise sales while minimising markdowns
- Working closely with the buying team to manage and optimise product ranges
- Assisting with the coordination of promotional activities and seasonal events
- Providing support for the retail team as required
- Regularly reporting on performance metrics
- Conducting competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Profile
A successful Assistant Merchandiser should have:
- A degree in Fashion, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Previous experience in an own-branded fashion environment
- A strong passion for fashion, in either womenswear, menswear, or childrenswear
- Previous working knowledge of bricks-and-mortar retail, online, and wholesale stock
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to analyse high data volumes
- Strong understanding of retail trends and ability to adapt to consumer behaviour
- Proficiency in Excel functionalities and other data analysis tools
- Excellent calculation, communication and teamwork skills
