We are looking for a graduate to join our client, an award winning manufacturing company based in High Wycombe.

The role will require the successful candidate to work as part of the Supply Chain Team to source and purchase materials both locally and from overseas with consideration to stock levels, lead times, budgetary values and storage space.

The ideal candidate would be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline and want to develop a career within purchasing and supply chain. They will also be highly numerate with good analytical and communication skills.

Extensive training and support will be provided.

Duties include

  • Sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services required by the organisation including negotiation of terms
  • Creation of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
  • Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers by effective communication and timely resolution of any issues
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries and quality standards are met
  • Analyse procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports and presentations based on procurement analytics
  • Identify and suggest process improvements to streamline procurement operations and enhance efficiency
  • Participate in meetings and provide updates on procurement activities

Skills/Experience

  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Numerate with strong attention to detail and an ability to analyse and interpret data
  • Very good communication both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop relationships with suppliers and internal teams
  • Driven for results
  • Understands the essential importance of customers
  • Proficient with SAGE or an equivalent procurement software system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with a high level of ability in Excel
