Excellent opportunity for a PROJECT PROCUREMENT/ANALYST specialist with a background in FOOD/PACKAGING to take on a newly created role . This is a very exciting opportunity as you will have the unusual opportunity to really "create" this role from scratch and make it distinctly yours. You will support the Director of Strategic Sourcing and other teams in this restaurant business and will measure, report and suggest innovations within food and packaging . There will be a lot of productivity reporting and analysis and you will present finding at Board level. You will also be the " go to " person for supplier content and communications along with holding idea creation sessions and working with finance to develop and report progress to targets. There will be some travel involved to visit suppliers

TITLE PROCUREMENT PROJECT MANAGER/ANALYST - Strategic Sourcing ( Food Packaging)

Team: Procurement and the Finance Teams

Sector: Hospitality : Hotels. Restaurants

Team Management: One direct report

Salary£111,660 (Base of £90,000, car allowance of £8,160, Bonus of 15%)

Start date : October 2024

Work style: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days wfh. Flexible start and end work day )

The role: This is a new role and as such you will have the unusual opportunity to really create this role and make it distinctly yours. You will support the Director of Strategic Sourcing and work closely with various cross -business teams within food and packaging .

The work is project based and you will concentrate on productivity reporting and analysis, board presentations, supplier content and communications along with holding idea creation sessions and working with finance to develop and report progress to agreed productivity targets within youfr category . There will be some travel involved

The role has 5 key areas: 1) Governance & reporting 2) measuring Food & Packaging category performance 3) Development of a supplier excellence programme 4) working with risk mitigation team 5) Developing in house training to support staff and therefore deliver operational excellence:

Duties

1)Reporting /Governance

  • Assist in the development of the new-established internal programme which aims to increase productivity across all areas , cut costs but still maintain product integrity and the highest consumer standards
  • Further develop the Food Cost Forecast program across all categories and countries.
  • Work with the Finance team to forecast food and packaging costs for the year
  • Monthly financial reporting of all productivity projects
  • Look at performance vs Inflation reporting.
  • Report on a weekly & bi-weekly basis upon progress of projects
  • Create board ready presentations
  • Create the workplan of total Food & Packaging,

2) Driving Supplier Excellence :

  • Key contact for Suppliers.
  • Arrange supplier events. Attend supplier sites
  • Manage Commercial Contracts for suppliers

3)Measuring Food & Packaging category performance

  • Controlling the workplan of total Food & Packaging, ranging from project focuses, key
  • milestone program delivery. .
  • ensuring compliance within the food /packaging categories and that they report to the correct steering committee.

4) Working with the Risk Team :

  • Maintaining & monitor the Risk register

4)Developing in house training

  • Contribute ideas and help with the implementation and development of skills training
  • Oversee , coach and encourage a Business Analyst

REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong Procurement and project management background,
  • Food & Packaging experience is essential
  • Advanced Excel for reporting
