Silent Sounds is an agency with over 25 years experience in the provision of high quality, professional interpreting and translating services covering 250 different languages and dialects. We also specialise in the provision of Deaf communication services and are passionate about promoting Deaf awareness. We predominantly work within the public and private healthcare sectors and are looking for a Business Development Manager to join our busy team.

Location:

You will be based at our offices in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.

Hours of work:

9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, although an element of flexibility with these times may occasionally be necessary.

Job role includes, but is not limited to:

  • being responsible for identifying and growing new opportunities and following through on new and existing business pipelines across our range of services. This will also include tendering for new contracts and meeting with existing and prospective clients either virtually or face to face.
  • managing and developing new and existing client relationships. This will involve engaging in relevant conversations with communication and procurement heads, identifying those opportunities and building a rapport, with the ultimate goal of acquiring a contract and achieving sales targets.
  • being involved in marketing and promotional campaigns when required and contributing towards business growth plans.
  • You must:
  • be a confident and professional individual.
  • have a minimum of 2 years business development experience, preferably within a service sector.
  • be positive thinking and highly motivated to succeed.
  • be able to work independently, but also be an excellent team player.
  • be confident in cold calling, interested in meeting and speaking to people and enjoy a challenge.
  • be an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to form strong working relationships and deliver key presentations when required.
  • have the ability to work under pressure, manage time and priorities to the best possible outcomes.
  • possess good administration and IT skills.
