Behaviour Support Assistant - Education and Training

Academics is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant for one of our partner schools in High Wycombe. If you're passionate about supporting young people with challenging behaviours and helping them reach their full potential, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

Role Details:
  • Location: High Wycombe
  • Pay: Actual pay for 39 weeks (term-time only) ranging from £21,100 to £26,959 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Contract: Term-time only, Support Staff Pay Range 2-4
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and group support for students with behavioural difficulties.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies to support students in overcoming barriers to learning.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and other support staff to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist in the development of individual behaviour support plans and monitor progress.
  • Promote positive behaviour and inclusion in line with the school's policies.
What We're Looking For:
  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural or emotional difficulties.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A calm, patient, and resilient attitude when supporting students facing challenges.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school environment.
  • Relevant qualifications or experience in behaviour support or education are desirable but not essential.
