Trade Compliance Officer

Copello are recruiting for 2 x Trade Compliance Officers to join a defence organisation in Buckinghamshire on initial 6 month basis. 

The Trade Compliance Officer will be workng within an exisiting export function to oversee and handle all documentation regarding export regulatory compliance. 

Duties of the Trade Compliance Officer include:

• All products are classified according to regulatory guidelines such as UKML, Dual-Use, USML, EAR & ECCN
• Point of contact for trade compliance questions & queries
• Processing of UK export licencing applications (OGELs .OIELs & SIEL's)
• Monitor regulations for sanctioned countries
• Work within UK authorities such as HMRC, BIS, ECJU regarding licence applications and queries
• Management of internal and external stakeholders with management of MOD F680, UK export teams and other relevant authorisations
• Accountability of all internal proceduresa and policies regarding import/export compliance , ITAR, EAR and dual use regs

The successful Trade Compliance Officer will have the following experience:

• Strong experience of interperating legal documentation
• Knowledge of UK and International export regs (ITAR/EAR) 
• Awareness of changing export/import regulatios
• Experience of communicating regulation changes throughout the business
• Experience within defence/Aerospace sector
• International trade compliance experience

This role has the potential to be extended or go permanent. 

Role will require the successful candidate to be onsite 4/5 days a week and is paying circa £30 -£40 per hour (inside IR35). Candidate will be required to be eligible for SC cleareance.
