Our client, a South Yorkshire based manufacturer seek to appoint an EHS Supervisor to raise awareness and promote best practice in regards to Environment, Health and Safety issues, ensure comprehensive risk assessments are performed and keep up-to-date with the changing of EHS legislation.

EHS Supervisor - Job Specification

*To ensure comprehensive risk assessments are performed throughout the company, on all procedures and tasks, to identify risk areas. Co-ordinate proposals for reducing any identified high risks

*Raise the awareness of health and safety within the organisation through presentations, training, H&S inductions and dissemination of information

*Management of the EHS committee and close collaboration with the union on EHS audits

*To assist in the implementation of systems required to achieve accreditation certification to ISO 14001, and the implementation of EHS goals.

*Management of appointments for Health surveillance programme (noise, dust occupational health)

*Reporting of Monthly Accident statistics and Key Point Indicators

*Data analysis and collation to communicate to workforce projects progress and results in efficiency improvements both verbally and visually.

*Ensure document control is maintained within the Department to best practice standards. Ensuring only the latest version of each document is available to the workforce.

*Full health and safety audits site wide, the safety inspections should cover all the physical parts of the premises, Staff behaviours as well as documentation on-site.

*Ensure effective implementation of requirements so that the Department meets audit requirements

*Qualified to IOSH, preferably NEBOSH, with a good knowledge of UK EHS regulations

*Experience of working in manufacturing and knowledge of ISO14001 / ISO9001
