Job Solutions Ltd are delighted to be assisting our client with their recruitment for an experienced MIG Welder to join their growing, professional team in Highbridge.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials, including sheet metal. As a MIG Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds and ensuring that all products meet our clients high quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal, ensuring adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to assemble and fabricate components as required.
  • Conduct routine inspections of welded joints to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and within deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and maintained.
  • Apply basic math skills to interpret measurements and ensure precise cuts and fittings during the fabrication process.
  • Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by troubleshooting minor equipment issues as they arise.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in MIG welding; knowledge of stick welding is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to the welding trade.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to welding tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge that allows for effective troubleshooting of welding equipment.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours

8:00am - 17:00pm Monday to Thursday

8:00am - 13:00pm Friday


Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From £13.00 - £13.75ph dependent on experience.
