ALondon Boroughis seeking an experiencedMechanical Engineerto oversee itsBuilding Management System (BMS) platformsand ensure effective operation, maintenance, and strategic management of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee existingBMSplatforms, ensuring prompt repair orders for breakdowns.
• Collaborate with internal and external engineers to maintainplant and equipmentconnected to theBMSin line with council strategy.
• Provide expert input onmechanical andBMSstrategy, recommending system improvements.
• Design and implementBMSstrategiesfor commercial/communal heating systems.
• Manage the existingBMSplatformand generate dailyBMSmanagement reports.
• Lead projects related tocommunal heating, low-carbon mechanical installations, and heat networks.
• Producetechnical reportsrelevant to mechanical andBMSoperations.
• Apply problem-solving skills toengineering design and maintenancechallenges.
• Plan, program, and deliver projects on time and within budget, demonstrating strongproject management and contract administration skills.

Requirements:

In-depth technical knowledgeofBMSsystemsand other remote-controlled engineering systems.
Ability to design, manage, and optimiseBMSplatforms.
Ideally holds aformal qualificationinBMSorEngineering Control Systems.
Strong experience inproject managementfor communal heating and low-carbon installations.
Understanding ofheat networksand experience managing related works.
Ability to writedetailed technical reports.
