An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Compressed Air Service Engineer to join a fast-growing business based in Preston. Our client is seeking a proactive, multi-skilled engineer to provide first-class service and effective solutions to their valued customers. Compressed Air Service Engineer Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance on compressed air plant and ancillary equipment.
  • Attend breakdowns, diagnose faults, and recommend remedial actions to clients.
  • Install compressed air plant and ancillary equipment, including pipework and electrical installations
  • Carry out pipework installations using various systems such as Galv threaded, Press-fit, and aluminium pipework
  • Occasionally work out-of-hours for customer shutdowns (e.g., weekends)
  • Provide job reports and service records for clients
  • Assist with ordering parts and materials for jobs
  • Contribute to sales of new equipment, installations, and remedial work, with a sales-based bonus scheme available.
Compressed Air Service Engineer Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Engineering qualifications (e.g., Diploma / Level 3 multi-skilled engineering qualification or higher)
  • Electrical qualifications/experience preferred but not essential (e.g., 18th edition, Wiring/Testing Level 3)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Proven experience working unsupervised on compressed air systems
  • Compressor manufacturer training preferred (training will be provided where necessary)
  • Experience with various pipework systems and installation techniques
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to diagnose equipment faults and work well under pressure.
