Your new companyMy client is a very successful and growing business close to Hinckley. Due to this growth, they are looking to add an Assistant Accountant to take on an analytical role within their finance team. Your new role
- Assist with preparation of the monthly management accounts, including analysis and posting to ledgers
- Calculation and analysis of accruals and prepayments
- Analysis of invoices
- Reconcile bank accounts and assign sales invoices on to the Invoice Finance facility
- Check and record transactions covered by Letters of Credit and bills of exchange
- Intercompany postings and reconciliation
- Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Assets register
- Prepare/review weekly payment runs for approval
- Assist with reviews of stock provisions
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Provide information and analysis required for audits
- Provide cover for other roles within the Finance team, e.g. during periods of absence
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT qualified /part qualified accountant
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience working in multi-currency accounts
- ERP systems knowledge
