Facilities Assistant

Certain Advantage is hiring for a Facilities Assistant based between Leicester and Coventry with free parking available and good transport links.The role is on a permanent basis and is office based

The Company

We're working with a business that's a leading Engineering client in Hinckley.

The Role:

The Facilities Assistant plays a key role in ensuring the effective coordination of the clients ISO system and related accreditation's. This dynamic position involves a variety of responsibilities, including auditing their ISO 9001 and 14001 systems, coordinating maintenance activities, and assisting with our Health and Safety program. If you are a talented Facilities professional with an IOSH qualification this could be a great role with progression for yourself.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support throughout the induction process and professional development within the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support business operations by managing and maintaining the Integrated Management System (IMS), including documentation and administration.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits of the IMS to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee facility and equipment maintenance, prioritizing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage customer and internal feedback systems to uphold the highest standards of customer service.
  • Assist in the ongoing review and upkeep of the Health and Safety Management System.
  • Administer the supplier review process to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports to the Management Team.
  • Contribute to maintaining the organization's Investors in People status.

£30k basic plus company bonus (can earn 10% of the salary)

The Individual

  • Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing procedures
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
  • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and articulate with the ability to engage effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • IOSH or an equivalent certification is preferred
  • Internal Management System Auditing certification is preferred
