Our client is a well-established, international organisation with an unbeatable reputation in the design, manufacture and servicing of lenses for the film and television industry around the world. The business boasts year-on-year growth, and is recognised worldwide for their quality and lens innovation. They are currently focussing on developing the business further and exploring new markets, and are looking for a Sales and Marketing Director to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven individual to join senior management as part of a global Sales and Marketing operation, and make their mark on the business. The ideal candidate will have a can-do approach, be a proactive team player and have experience with overseas markets.

Duties

  • Developing customer relationship management and sales process to optimise customer awareness of existing and new ranges whilst improving customer service and communication
  • Developing the marketing team to ensure that the company’s strategic plans are delivered over the next 5 years
  • Ensuring the company has a leading-edge social media presence
  • Marketing and launching new product ranges
  • Developing a distributor/agent network in existing and new geographies
  • Creating reports related to sales and marketing activities
  • Understanding sales patterns and incorporating into planning
  • Developing, planning and delivering marketing and sales initiatives
  • Working directly with corporate partners and developing and managing new relationships with key potential partners
  • Contributing to planning the long-term development of the organisation

You

  • Degree qualified, post graduate business qualification desirable
  • 5 years or more experience in a B2B sales/marketing role at manager or director level, including UK based SME
  • Product sales and marketing, and service provider experience
  • Product experience at high end value, ideally technically complex products
  • Experience of high value, small volume production in a niche market
  • Experience of optical media related products is a significant advantage
  • Experience running and building a team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • International experience with a demonstrable and proven track record of building sales in new geographies
  • Experience working overseas or speaking a second language is an advantage
  • Experience of successfully launching new product ranges
  • Experience with dealership networks, both setting up and managing established dealers.

On Offer

  • Annual salary up to £100,000 dependent on experience
  • 30% bonus plus equity (130k OTE)
