The Role:We're seeking an experienced Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a strong focus on electrical work (60/40 split), who is keen to develop into a role supporting and leading a small team within our high-volume manufacturing operations in Hinckley. Your primary responsibilities will include preventative maintenance, fault finding, and equipment repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance and address breakdowns, focusing on electrical systems.
  • Work with PLC systems, including fault finding and control panel testing.
  • Perform mechanical tasks such as stripping down motors, conveyors, and gearboxes.
  • Ensure safety compliance, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Work hands-on with hydraulic systems and be prepared to get your hands dirty in a factory environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Time-served engineer with NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent.
  • Electrical Expertise: Some experience in PLC systems and fault finding.
  • Mechanical Skills: Comfortable with hands-on tasks involving motors, gearboxes, and hydraulics.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in a challenging, industrial setting.

Shift Pattern:

  • Alternating morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm, and 2pm to 10pm (DOUBLE DAYS)
  • No night or weekend work is required.
