Electro-Mechanical Engineer
Atlantic Machinery is a well established, successful and growing Midlands based manufacturer of equipment for the glass industry. We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled electro mechanical engineer (50:50 split) to work in both a manufacturing and service environment.
Diverse and interesting role – including
- Approximately 50:50 factory-based manufacturing/assembly and client site services and installations across the United Kingdom. However, there is no explicit demarcation and as a small company team member we would expect you to do what’s required with a positive and flexible outlook.
- Working with tenacity both autonomously alone and as part of a small business team.
- Strong health and safety mindset.
What your day looks like:
- In house manufacturing as part of a team involving panel wiring and assembly of machine tools.
- Strong communication with the factory team and clients to enable servicing and fault finding/repairing in the field.
- Updating service records, reading electrical drawings.
- Sharing thoughts with colleagues around machine improvements and product development.
Skills and attributes:
MINIMUM 5 YEARS POST QUALIFICATION EXPEREINCE IN AN ELECTRICAL/MECHANICAL ENVIRONMENT.
- Electrical and mechanical formal qualifications (Levels 3 – 5)
- Strong customer interface skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work comfortably and successfully in a small team, therefore being a person who is affable, considered, respectful and adaptable to change.
- Panel wiring skills and experience.
- PLC and inverter control skills and experience.
- Full driving license.
Useful additional skills: CAD and CNC
PACKAGE
- £39K to £46k depending on experience and qualifications (plus overtime as required)
- Full time 39 hours non shift working week (flexibility over the length of the working week is open to discussion)
- Standard flexibility around start time + 12.30pm finish time on Fridays
