Instrument Calibration Technician, Part Time 20 hours per week, £32K-£35K pro rata, Hinckley, Leicestershire, Nuneaton, Warwickshire

  • £32,000 - £35,000 salary guide plus excellent benefits including a good pension and 27 days holiday plus all bank holidays.
  • Permanent, part time position, 20 hours per week with some flexibility on working pattern and working hours.


An opportunity to work as a Calibration Technician for a business working at the cutting edge of automotive technology research and development. Working in an accredited UKAS laboratory environment you will provide Calibration Technician support working on highly sophisticated test equipment and instruments used for automotive research, development, and test projects.


Instrument Calibration Technician responsibilities:


  • Carry out instrumentation calibration to ISO9001 and ISO 17025 standards.
  • Perform an initial assessment of instrument faults arising during calibration.
  • Component level changes to instruments including the installation of surface mount devices.
  • Produce technical reports and calibration certificates to ISO 17025 standard.


This Instrument Calibration Technician job will suit:


  • Previous experience of working within a Calibration Technician or Instrument Calibration Technician position or have gained some instrument calibration experience within a UKAS accredited laboratory environment.
  • You will hold a relevant qualification (Level 3 and above) in an electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of ISO 17025 would be beneficial.
