Key Skills -

This position will require you to work closely with the Senior Site Chemist and Site Supervisors to control the day-to-day operational dutiesThis is a hands-on role and will involve preparation of outgoing waste loads, maintaining low stock levels, identifying and implementing new recycling and disposal routes, performing regular stock take checks and monitoring of pallet countsTraining and support will be provided wherever necessary.Other duties on site as necessary.

Essential

HNC in Chemistry or higher. Related Subjects e.g. Biology or Forensics will be considered where sufficient Chemistry modules were included.

Experience in the Hazardous Waste Management Sector is essential

Duties -

Ensuring full compliance with the site permitWaste acceptance and compliance with pre-acceptanceCompliance with HSE segregation guidelinesSafe operation of the siteGeneral waste handling/bulkingLiaising with site management to best implement day to day work requirementsResponsible for all Hazardous Waste Transfers off-site in terms of planning, listing, booking, picking, re-packaging where necessaryPerformance of regular Stock Takes on siteMonitoring of on site stock ages and taking action to ensure all site stock falls within pre-agreed levelsMonitoring of on site pallet count levels and ensuring they remain beneath pre-agreed levels in conjunction with Site Management

FLT Licence

IOSH safety qualification or similar desirable
