Our client is a leading supplier to the construction industry, supporting all construction businesses, large or small, by providing easy and flexible access to a wide range of quality products which are always available from stock. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace, they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Depot Manager to join their business.
Reporting into the CFO, This role requires previous knowledge and experience within Sales/Trade Counter/Warehouse/Logistics and P&L ownership. Join a growing company that supplies premium products to a number of construction companies large and small.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
*Operational responsibility for the depot including day to day management, encompassing HR/Customer Service/Sales/Admin and Logistics.
* Accurately planning resources and stock levels.
* Customer Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with customer developers, influencing and aligning with their strategic plans.
* Industry Engagement: Promoting and developing long term relationships within the industry and identifying sales opportunities.
* Full P&L responsibility.
*Manage depot's fleet and ensure legal compliance is met at all times.
*Liaise with senior management on business areas such as opportunities/best practices/competitiveness and depot needs.
*Develop forecasts and financial targets.
*Effective formulation of business plans and achieve company goals and metrics.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Proven experience as a Depot Manager/Site Manager.
* Experience in the following - Sales/Trade Counter/Warehouse/Logistics and P&L ownership.
* Able to demonstrate great leadership qualities and motivate the workforce.
*Problem solving and implementation capabilities.
* Strong communication skills.
