About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Road Freight Manager to join our team in Leicester. This is a key role responsible for overseeing the road freight operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective transportation solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimise road freight operations, including route planning, carrier selection, and cost control.
- Lead and develop a team of road freight specialists.
- Maintain and build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and carriers.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
- Monitor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in road freight management or logistics.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance standards.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-effective solutions.
