We’re Flowgreens - an unapologetically bold wellness startup fusing science, nature, and sensory design. Our first product, ScentXpresso, is the world’s first in-shower smart aromatherapy diffuser. It’s intuitive, elevated, and engineered to deliver calm at the press of a button.
We’re now entering the next phase - rapid prototyping and hardware iteration—and we’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Prototyping Engineer to help bring this vision to life, piece by piece.
What You’ll Be Doing-
Assemble and modify functional prototypes, following CAD files, exploded views, or engineering walkthroughs
-
Test core mechanical systems—from mist diffusion and scent delivery to seals, thermal performance, and component alignment
-
Use SolidWorks to review CAD assemblies, interpret tolerances, and suggest real-world amendments for improved fit, function, or manufacturability
-
Diagnose issues and recommend refinements across form, function, and DFM
-
Document test procedures and outcomes using structured logs and annotated imagery
-
Work closely with product and design leads to iterate rapidly on evolving hardware
-
Support material testing, tolerancing reviews, and vendor samples as needed
-
Assist in the transition from prototype to pilot production, including DFM feedback
-
A hands-on mechanical thinker who enjoys building and breaking things in equal measure
-
Experienced with physical prototyping, fixtures, and benchtop testing
-
Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and translating them into working assemblies
-
Proficient in SolidWorks for CAD reviews and minor design adjustments
-
Comfortable using workshop tools (hand tools, calipers, multimeters, etc.)
-
Precise, process-driven, and able to manage multiple test iterations at once
-
Open-minded, solutions-focused, and excited to shape a new product category
-
Experience with consumer hardware prototyping (wearables, IoT, wellness devices, etc.)
-
Familiarity with IP-rated sealing, small-scale fluid systems, or mist/atomisation tech
-
Understanding of plastics, silicone, and soft tooling
-
Comfortable reviewing or editing files in SolidWorks or similar CAD systems
-
Able to write or adapt simple test plans or SOPs
