Join our client as a Quality Assurance Technician, where you will work closely with the Operations Manager and various teams to maintain high quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO/BRC GS across all business areas. This role is crucial for ensuring that goods are produced to specification and to the correct standard in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Collaborate with Production teams to ensure products are made to specification and meet the required standards.
- Manage and log Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in the quality system for internal and supplier non-conformances, conduct investigations, and create reports as required.
- Assist in maintaining the document control system to ensure all records are current and accessible.
- Manage Calibrations and Maintenance schedules and oversee their execution.
- Conduct scheduled audits of the quality systems and report all non-conformances.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager on the implementation of KPIs, including data collection and analysis for quality improvements.
- Promote waste minimization procedures through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in the management of supplier performance and create technical quality reports (FAIR).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO and BRC GS standards.
- Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in managing document control systems and conducting quality audits.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement processes and waste minimization techniques.
