Join our client as a Quality Assurance Technician, where you will work closely with the Operations Manager and various teams to maintain high quality standards and ensure compliance with ISO/BRC GS across all business areas. This role is crucial for ensuring that goods are produced to specification and to the correct standard in a cost-effective and efficient manner.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Collaborate with Production teams to ensure products are made to specification and meet the required standards.
  • Manage and log Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) in the quality system for internal and supplier non-conformances, conduct investigations, and create reports as required.
  • Assist in maintaining the document control system to ensure all records are current and accessible.
  • Manage Calibrations and Maintenance schedules and oversee their execution.
  • Conduct scheduled audits of the quality systems and report all non-conformances.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager on the implementation of KPIs, including data collection and analysis for quality improvements.
  • Promote waste minimization procedures through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the management of supplier performance and create technical quality reports (FAIR).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of ISO and BRC GS standards.
  • Excellent organizational and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Proficiency in managing document control systems and conducting quality audits.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement processes and waste minimization techniques.
