Job Role: Quality Inspector

Location: LE10, Hinckley

Pay Rate: £39,000 per annum

Type: Full-time, permanent

Shift: Rotation: Days and Lates, Monday to Thursday.

The company:

A leading supplier to the aero engine, marine and satellite industries, manufactures ring machined components. Works closely in partnership with customers, providing complete end-to-end solutions from formulating designs and sourcing materials through to manufacture, assembly and testing.

The candidate:

The ideal candidate for the Quality Inspector role will:

  • possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed,
  • possess an in-depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards,
  • be able to work as part of a team as well as independently,
  • be able to inspect in-process and finished product to ensure compliance to drawing specifications and customer requirements,
  • provide aid to the manufacturing to ensure quality product is being produced,
  • possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have minimum of 5 years' experience in an aerospace quality engineering environment,
  • be experienced with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • be experienced with Root Cause / Corrective and preventative action FAIR AS9102, Control Plans, FMEA, product verification and Visual Inspection

Job responsibilities:

You will be an experienced Quality Inspector. You will be able to:

  • read and interpret customer drawings,
  • use standard metrology techniques: Hand gauges / 1st Principal techniques,
  • have CMM experience (PCDmis preferred) Operate (program),
  • apply GD&T inspection methods,
  • inspect tight tolerance parts, both assembled & machined,
  • record and communicate information effectively.
  • communicate clearly and effectively,
  • manage and control calibration equipment,
  • perform any other general quality duties asked.
