Are you an experienced Category Buyer or Senior Category Buyer looking for your next contract role in the automotive industry? This is an exciting opportunity to work with a globally recognised brand, managing key suppliers within Powertrain or Electrical commodities to drive value, quality, and innovation in the supply chain.
What You'll Do:- Develop category strategies and sourcing initiatives to support production growth and new technology adoption.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure high quality, reduced lead times, and cost efficiency.
- Work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Quality teams to optimise sourcing decisions.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers while rationalising the existing supply base.
- Analyse category trends and provide insights for upcoming product development programs.
? A degree in Business or Engineering is desirable.? Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and supplier management experience.? Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.? Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and thrive under pressure.? Excellent communication and analytical skills.
