Hays Education are working with an Ofsted 'Good' coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Leicester. The school caters to students aged between 11-16. They are looking for a full-time qualified English Teacher to teach across Key Stage 3 and 4.


You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons that cover the curriculum. You will also be expected to contribute to the development of the department and participate in extracurricular activities.


Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and creative English lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department's curriculum.
  • Participating in extracurricular activities such as sports clubs and school trips.


Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in English or related field
  • Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
