Your new role

In your new job as a Teaching Assistant with Hays, you will work alongside class teachers to support SEND pupils inside the classroom and throughout the school day including at break and transition times. You'll provide classroom support in a range of subjects including in Phonics, English and Maths. You'll work collaboratively to foster positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues and be an active member of the wider school community. You will also benefit from the listening ear of your dedicated Recruitment Consultant, Hollie, who will be on-hand throughout your placement and beyond.

What you need to succeed

To be succeed in your new job, you will have experience supporting SEN pupils in a mainstream classroom. Ideally, you will have a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification - however, we will consider applications from those with hands-on experience, too. This role is suitable for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) who is looking for more classroom-based experience to enhance their SEN knowledge before taking on full teaching responsibility. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school ready to build relationships quickly!
