Hays Education is working with a Special Educational Needs school near Hinckley who are looking for a new SEND Teaching Assistant to start working after Easter. The ideal candidate has experience supporting children and young people with additional needs including ASD and PMLD. The successful candidate will work full-time until the end of the academic year.

Your new role
In your new job as a Teaching Assistant, you'll work with a team of specialist teachers and teaching assistants to support pupils with a range of additional needs to access this schools' bespoke creative curriculum. Hays Teaching Assistants make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people who have a range of care needs, life experiences and personalities which make every day different! You'll benefit from on-going support from your Hays consultant, Hollie, who will be there for you throughout this placement and beyond.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in your new job, you'll have a minimum of 1 years' experience working with pupils who have Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and/or Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You'll be able to adapt to the needs of students across Key Stages with previous experience supporting children with communication and/or sensory needs. Most importantly, you'll be confident stepping into a new school and ready to quickly build relationships with colleagues, pupils and parents.
