Class Teacher for Designated Specialist Provision

Position: Class Teacher
Location: Hinckley

Our partnered school are excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join their Designated Specialist Provision (DSP) for children with Communication and Interaction needs.

About the Role:
The school caters to up to 25 children aged 4-11 who have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder or speech, language, or communication needs. As a Class Teacher, you will work closely with the Leader of DSP and a dedicated team of learning support staff to plan and deliver an adapted curriculum, while also managing and monitoring SEND documentation.

We are looking for a passionate educator who is committed to raising standards of teaching and learning and making a meaningful difference for all students, regardless of their circumstances. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for working with pupils with SEND and a strong dedication to inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the DSP Leader and team to deliver an engaging curriculum.
Innovate and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
Foster strong relationships with parents to support student progress.
Maintain high standards of communication and teamwork.
Implement effective behavioral management strategies.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A passion for working with children with SEND.
In-depth knowledge of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven experience in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies.
