The Transport Planner will play a crucial role in our fast-paced Logistics team. Your primary tasks will include route planning, managing freight and ensuring timely and efficient distribution.

Description

The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities are:

Plan and manage freight transport routes ensuring cost efficiency.
Coordinate with clients and service providers for timely distribution.
Monitor transport costs and negotiate contracts with service providers.
Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations.
Manage and lead a team to achieve departmental targets.
Resolve any freight transport-related issues that may arise.
Contribute to the development of transport strategies.
Prepare and present transport performance reports to management.

Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

Proven track record of working in a similar role as Transport Planner or Logistics Planner
Proficiency in using transport management software.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Knowledge of transport laws and regulations within the Transport & Distribution industry.
An analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
