Transport Planner - expanding distribution business - Monday to Friday role

Description

The Transport Planner duties and responsibilities are:

  • Plan and manage freight transport routes ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Coordinate with clients and service providers for timely distribution.
  • Monitor transport costs and negotiate contracts with service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with transport laws and regulations.
  • Manage and lead a team to achieve departmental targets.
  • Resolve any freight transport-related issues that may arise.
  • Contribute to the development of transport strategies.
  • Prepare and present transport performance reports to management.

Profile

A successful Transport Planner should have:

  • Proven track record of working in a similar role as Transport Planner or Logistics Planner
  • Proficiency in using transport management software.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
