As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in providing appetising, nutritious meals and ensuring a high standard of dining experience in a fast-paced environment. This position is perfect for someone passionate about delivering excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Adhere to strict food preparation and service regulations, including labelling, temperature checks, and allergy management.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, following cleaning schedules and improving processes where necessary.
  • Complete due diligence records accurately, taking corrective actions to ensure food safety.
  • Prepare meals that meet anticipated volumes while maintaining appetising offerings and consistency in food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
  • Provide suitable provisions for guests with specific medical dietary needs, overseeing all aspects of food delivery and cleanliness.
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings, addressing dish details, portion sizes, allergens, and dietary requests, and actively monitor food quality during service.
  • Assume leadership duties in the absence of the Catering Manager or Head Chef, and assist in the development of Assistant Chefs and Catering Assistants.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Experience of working with children and young adults.
  • Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering.
  • Experience in a high-volume and branded catering environment.
  • Proficient in managing strict procedures, paperwork, and administrative systems.
  • Basic IT knowledge and experience (email, Excel, tablet use).
  • Enhanced DBS check (provided).
