Catering Manager

Join our team as a Catering Manager and support the provision of high-quality dining experiences in a fast-paced environment. This role involves ensuring appetising, nutritious meals and excellent customer service while adhering to our standards and safety procedures. You will be working under the guidance of the General Manager, contributing to our mission of creating unforgettable learning and adventure experiences for young people.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Ensure that the catering operation complies with all regulations and internal policies regarding Food Safety, Allergen Management, and Health & Safety.
  • Oversee legal compliance within the catering department, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and standards.
  • Implement and maintain the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plan.
  • Manage colleague performance, training, coaching, and engagement using the companies Strive Learning Management System.
  • Handle financial aspects of the catering operation to ensure maximum value for money and effective cost control.
  • Deliver an efficient and friendly dining experience for colleagues and guests, ensuring safe and suitable meal provision for customers with medical dietary needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in line management, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Experience in catering for large numbers and managing employee relation and welfare issues.
  • Level 3 food safety and Allergen Management certification.
  • IT literate in a range of MS Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • A proficient level of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage, mentor, and develop individuals and teams to fulfil their potential.
Additional Requirements:
  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Full UK Driver's licence.
