Rural Business Advisor

A well-established and forward-thinking firm specialising in land agency, rural business consultancy, and estate management is looking for a Rural Business Advisor to join their team. Based in East Anglia, the firm provides expert advice to a broad client base, including private landowners, non-farming investors, and institutional organisations.

With a strong focus on professionalism, integrity, and innovation, the team combines traditional expertise with a modern approach to deliver tailored solutions and build lasting client relationships.

Role Overview

As a Rural Business Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the consultancy team, providing strategic guidance across various aspects of farm management and business development. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting farm business appraisals and financial assessments
  • Advising on and implementing farming structures
  • Identifying and managing diversification opportunities
  • Preparing and submitting subsidy and rural grant applications
  • Advising on environmental schemes, including both public and private funding options
  • Conducting benchmarking and financial analysis
  • Assisting with farming tenders, including contract and share farming agreements
  • Developing budgets, cashflows, and financial reports
  • Overseeing and managing contract and share farming agreements
  • Collaborating with the land agency team on various projects
  • Providing insight into carbon and biodiversity opportunities
