Robertson Bell are excited to partner with a community-based housing association, to recruit a Service Charge Accountant on a permanent basis. In this role you will be managing a variety of different responsibilities, including setting service charges, reconciling the actuals and having total control within the service charge function.

In this Service Charge Accountant position, you will:

  • Set all service charges, making sure to prepare and reconcile the journals and actuals as well.
  • Assist and train one person that would report into you, imparting your knowledge.
  • Make sure to keep oversight of the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Use excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with tenants where necessary.
  • Collaborating with various people across the organisation to drive process improvements.

Based in North Hertfordshire, the successful candidate will enjoy a great working culture, in addition to a hybrid work setting, in which you will have to come into the office three days per week.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong experience in managing service charges.
  • High quality communication skills to interact with stakeholders.
  • The ability to prepare journals and accruals within an accountancy function.
  • The skills to work independently and as a part of a team.
