We are seeking a highly experienced PCB Inspector with a strong background working within the electronics manufacturing environment.

You will have previous experience of PCB inspection, PCB assembly to component level, soldering on surface mount and through hole boards and components.

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently within given timetables.


PCB Inspector Overview:

  • Permanent full-time position
  • Working within a small to medium size electronics manufacturing business
  • Flexibility working
  • Overtime premiums in place from day one

PCB Inspector Requirements:

  • Previous experience of PCB inspection including assembling and soldering on surface mount and through hole boards and components
  • Inspection of cables, harnesses and units
  • The PCB Inspector will also be checking cable harnesses and therefore will be familiar with wire sizes, crimp terminals etc
  • Previous experience of hand soldering PCB components
  • PCB component knowledge including identifying component values and polarisation
  • Excellent understanding of PCB circuit diagrams and schematics

PCB Inspector Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience in PCB inspection
  • Knowledge of Auto Optical Inspection (AOI) inspection is advantageous
  • AOI and traditional magnification techniques
  • Ability to use fine pitch tools and inspection equipment
  • Box builds
  • Cable harnesses
  • Familiar with IPC standards
