We’re excited to be working with a progressive and innovative Wealth Management firm based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. With years of experience managing private wealth, our client has built an excellent reputation within the IFA and financial planning community. Due to growth, they are creating a new role for a Qualified Paraplanner, offering a great opportunity to further develop your career with a forward-thinking, award-winning firm.

This is the perfect role for a Paraplanner who is ready to progress towards becoming an Advisor. The role will be primarily office-based, with occasional flexibility to work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Reports:
    • Write comprehensive financial plans, annual reviews, and suitability letters for clients.
    • Develop and maintain client-facing materials, templates, and documents.
  • Client Liaison & Administration:
    • Communicate with clients regarding technical queries, end-of-tax-year issues, and information requests.
    • Manage and update client data, emails, documents, and tasks using internal systems.
  • Platform Liaison & Transaction Management:
    • Coordinate with key platforms such as Nucleus and Fidelity, and assist with client transactions.
  • Ongoing Support & Development:
    • You’ll be supported in your career development, with financial contributions towards further qualifications.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Qualifications:
    • You must be Diploma qualified (or nearly), with at least 3 years of experience working in a financial planning or wealth management firm.
    • If you have already started working towards your Chartered exams, this is a great bonus.
  • Experience:
    • Previous experience in paraplanning, especially with pensions, investments, tax planning, IHT, mortgages, and protection is essential.
    • A strong understanding of platforms, client-facing materials, and financial reporting will be key.
