Morgan Philips is searching for a Senior HR Advisor with strong experience of complex ER cases and TUPE to join a company in Hitchin for 9 to 12 months to cover a period of maternity paying up to £42,000pa plus £3k car allowance. The successful candidate will be either immediately available or be on a short notice period.The successful Senior HR Advisor (Employee Relations) will need to be the knowledge expert to support both standard and escalated enquiries by providing business focused coaching and support for managers.Responsibilities will include:* Operate regionally to support with employee relations requirements including complex absence meetings, hearings and training sessions.* Build relationships with key stakeholders within region to establish effective working relationship built on trust and credibility.* Ownership of cases through to closure and appropriate recording of case details.* Be the knowledge expert and provide a point of escalation for complex requirements. Escalate cases as required to ensure timely close out.* Ensure management of people issues is consistent with values and behaviours.* Coach and train Line Managers on HR issues, providing business focused, risk balanced advice.* Provide end to end technical support on TUPE* Undertake central HR projects to support the development of the business.* Produce monthly board report Management of long- and short-term sickness cases through to return to work at acceptable levels through analysis of cases and active managementThe successful candidate will have strong HR Generalist and Employee Relations experience as well as excellent knowledge of employment law and the ability to apply a pragmatic rather than text book approach. You will also have the ability to understand the business and balance commercial needs with assessed risks, sound experience in management coaching, experience of providing technical and practical support and the ability to manage problems by identifying cause and effect and proposing solutions. End to end TUPE experience is a necessity for this role also.
