Our client is a food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a production planner to join an exciting team. We are seeking a talented and detail-orientated production planner to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and ingredients.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
  • Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
  • Maintain accurate records of production schedules, materials usage, and finished goods inventory.
  • Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize production processes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a production planner, scheduler, or in a similar role within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of food production processes and regulations.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
