Our client is a food manufacturer who are looking to appoint a production planner to join an exciting team. We are seeking a talented and detail-orientated production planner to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials and ingredients.
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines and resolve any issues that arise.
- Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
- Analyse production data to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
- Maintain accurate records of production schedules, materials usage, and finished goods inventory.
- Support the development and implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize production processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a production planner, scheduler, or in a similar role within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of food production processes and regulations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
