  • Our client, an independent accounting services business, is seeking a numerate and outgoing candidate with strong interpersonal skills for a hybrid role requiring just two days in the office. The position involves responsibilities such as payroll processing, understanding UK pension schemes, managing new starters and leavers, and handling tax code queries. Candidates should have a solid understanding of statutory pay and deductions, as well as the ability to manage payroll queries effectively. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office, able to work under pressure, and communicate professionally with various stakeholders. A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, with a salary offered in the range of £30,000 to £35,000 per year.

Our client, a independent business providing accounting services seek a numerate and outgoing candidate with strong interpersonal skills to join the team

Our client offers a hybrid role, just two days in the office, and paid parking as well as many other benefits

overall duties include:

Payroll processing - broad experience in running various-sized payrolls on a weekly, biweekly and monthly basis end to end

Pension - good understanding of all aspects of different UK pension schemes

New Starters/Leavers - the ability to efficiently handle starters and leavers

FPS and Intermediary reporting

Payment files and banking uploads - adept knowledge of successfully uploading and processing bank files in various banking platforms

Tax codes - be able to process tax code changes and be able to handle tax code queries will all clients

Timesheet review, collation and processing

Statutory pay and deductions - being able to handle SSP, SMP and SPP

Payroll queries - be able to handle all queries relating to wages, deductions and timesheets ?To build and maintain excellent relationships with all clients

Individual skillset and attributes

The ideal candidate would possess the following skills and attributes:

Competent in using all Microsoft Office applications

Able to work well under pressure both alone and in a team environment

Able to communicate effectively and with a high standard of professionalism and integrity with all required individuals and organisations including directors, managers, colleagues, clients, prospective clients, HM Revenue & Customs, Companies House and suppliers

Able to manage own work and prioritise as necessary
