About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in the Hitchin area. This is a long-term position starting in April 2025, with the potential for a permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality mathematics education to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for mathematics.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and school events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
