Reed is currently working with a reputable local accounting firm based in Leigh-on-Sea. They are currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Audit and Accounts Senior to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing audit assignments and preparing financial statements for a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Preparing financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP
  • Reviewing and supervising the work of junior staff
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Providing technical support and advice to clients and team members
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of audit plans

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in audit and accounts preparation
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, IRIS)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
