Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and dynamic individual to join the team as a Head Chef. This exciting role combines culinary expertise with food and beverage management to oversee all aspects of our dining and beverage operations. The ideal candidate will be a creative and experienced chef with a passion for food, a flair for menu innovation, and a strong background in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Culinary Leadership:
- Plan, design, and execute innovative menus that reflect our brand, customer preferences, and market trends.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising staff, food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as per local health regulations.
- Manage inventory and procurement of food supplies and kitchen equipment, ensuring cost control and minimising waste.
- Oversee all food and beverage operations and ensure the highest quality standards are met.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent quality and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and control food and beverage costs, develop budgets, and analyse financial performance to meet revenue and profitability goals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to negotiate contracts, source quality products, and manage relationships.
Staff Management and Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop both kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service and culinary expertise.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs to enhance skills and career growth.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and staff development.
Customer Service and Quality Control:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining consistent quality in food, service, and overall dining experience.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Develop initiatives to improve guest satisfaction, drive sales, and promote customer loyalty.
Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all food and beverage operations comply with health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of kitchen, bar, and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or similar role in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong background in food and beverage management, including budget management, cost control, and financial analysis.
- In-depth knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
