Production Planner required to support the Production Manager to oversee and organise the production process in their manufacturing facility. This position is paying an annual salary of £35,000 - £38,000 depending on experience. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

The Production Planner will be experienced in utilising a production planning software and be able to provide clear product costs.

Duties:

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate production of the company's products
  • Evaluate raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production
  • Assist in scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage
  • Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget
  • Report on the production status and any production issues to senior management
  • Assist with production disruptions and productivity problems
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs
  • Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes

Experience required:

  • Strong analytical skills to forecast demand and optimise production plans
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills to manage complex production schedules
  • Proficiency in production planning software
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures
  • Problem-solving abilities to address production challenges
  • Ability to organise a busy and varied workload, remain calm under pressure, and proactive in approach to tasks
  • PC literate with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook skills
