Watch Diagnostic Technician

We utilise the state-of-the-art equipment with many of our most experienced watchmakers having been trained inhouse before receiving accreditation from our Swiss watchmaking partners.
We are now seeking to add to our amazing team and require a Watch Diagnostic Technician based within Hockley, Southend, SS5 working 40 hours per week.
Role Summary
This role will support STS watch service centre to achieve the companys strategy, providing diagnostics to enable estimation and authentication for our repairs.
This role will require the successful candidate to have or develop a detailed knowledge of luxury watches to enable the estimation of repairs for our trade and retail customers. The individual should have a fine eye for detail. An ability to communicate, discuss and impart knowledge would be favourable. The ability to administrate and report on any watch product will be required.
A knowledge of luxury watch brands is desirable, manual dexterity and confident handling watches coupled with examining watch movements will be advantageous. Being a team orientated individual will be essential. Full support and training will be given.

Authenticate watches to a high standard
Maintain volume throughput
Role Responsibilities
Diagnostics and authentication for estimates
Establishing pricing for luxury watch servicing
Perform stolen/ lost checks on luxury watches
Locate brand identifiers such as warranty cards, serial numbers etc
Identifying aftermarket diamond set dials and bezels
Asist stores with watch queries
Accurate and efficient data entry
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Skills and Qualifications
Basic Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google suite
Experience in the watch industry desirable
Good technical knowledge of use of watchmaking tools helpful
Extreme attention to detail
Knowledge of luxury watches and watchmaking helpful
Excellent communication skills.
Self-starter
Good organisational skills
Be able to work to deadlines
Adaptable to multiple roles dependant on business needs
