Job Responsibilities Include  

  • Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships to a good standard and be able to review the work of others.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and some minimal bookkeeping.
  • Reviewing sole trade accounts, limited company accounts, VAT returns and management accounts – dealing with queries and presenting final figures to partner for review.
  • Sending final packs to clients to sign and filings at Companies House and HMRC.
  • Payroll processing knowledge would be an advantage.
  • Assisting the partner with ad hoc tasks which will enable the candidate to grow and learn.
  • A strong technical knowledge is needed in accounts preparation (basic tax compliance) and especially the interaction of dividends, directors accounts and P11Ds. Proficient use of Microsoft Office and cloud-based systems such as Xero.

Qualifications/Experience 

  • Must be at least AAT qualified or studying for ACCA.
  • Must have Full UK Right to Work
  • Management of client portfolio experience would be an advantage.
  • Proficient using cloud-based software such as Xero, and Microsoft Office packages
