We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring the efficient flow of materials, and contributing to the overall productivity of the manufacturing process. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Operate various production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assemble components and fabricate products according to specifications.
  • Feeding raw materials or components into semi-automated machines.
  • Using measuring tools (such as calipers and micrometers) to inspect parts for accuracy and quality. Precision is essential to avoid defects
  • Handle materials within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment, including tooling adjustments and repairs.
  • Utilise CAD software, such as SolidWorks, for design modifications as needed.
  • Work with logic controllers to monitor production processes and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in materials handling within a warehouse setting.
  • Experience with welding techniques is advantageous.
  • Ability to read job cards and drawings.
  • Strong understanding of tooling processes and fabrication methods.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, particularly SolidWorks, is preferred.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to production tasks.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
