Junior Estimator (Steel) in HertfordshireJob Title: Junior Steel EstimatorShorterm group are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Steel Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of cost estimates for steel construction projects, and work closely with engineers, architects, and contractors to understand the scope of work.Temp to Perm Monday - Friday (Flexible working hours) 40 hours per week £26,000 - £30,000 (dependant upon experience) Responsibilities:Assist in preparing cost estimates for steel construction projects.Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.Work with the team to prepare and submit bid proposals.Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations.Assist in the preparation of budgets and schedules.Maintain a database of pricing information.Participate in project meetings and provide updates on estimation progress.Qualifications:Strong understanding of construction processes and steel materials.Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software.Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.Physical Requirements:Note: This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
