IT Application Support Analyst – Civil Engineering - Hertfordshire – Hybrid working - £35-40kOverview:We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Application Support Analyst to join a leading construction and engineering organisation based in Hertfordshire. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the smooth operation of critical business applications.Role & Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for application support requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application-related problems, escalating to developers or third-party vendors as needed
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement updates, patches, and system changes
  • Create and maintain documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Assist in the deployment and testing of new applications and features
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users to enhance application utilisation
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security protocols
Essential Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in application support, IT support, or a similar role
  • Proficient using SharePoint, Azure & Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of business applications, databases, and IT systems
  • Familiarity with ERP/CRM systems
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise workload
  • Experience with ITIL practices or similar frameworks is a plus
  • Minimum 6 months experience of Procure-to-Pay experience is essential
