- Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all IT assets, ensuring accurate tracking from acquisition through to disposal
- Plan and manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, upgrades, and retirement
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source hardware, software, and related IT services, ensuring value for money and compliance with licensing agreements
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of services
- Monitor asset costs and optimise expenditure through effective resource allocation, reducing unnecessary costs and identifying potential savings
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and licensing obligations related to IT assets
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset management, such as hardware failures, data breaches, or security vulnerabilities
- Maintain accurate records of all assets, provide regular reports on asset status and utilisation, and ensure documentation is up to date
- Leading, mentoring and developing a small team to deliver agreed goals
- Proven experience (3+ years) in IT asset management, procurement, or IT inventory control
- Strong knowledge of hardware and software lifecycle management
- Experience working with asset management tools and platforms
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Previous experience using ServiceNow
- Experience using SNOW or a similar licensing tool
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and IT asset management best practices is a plus
- Proficiency with asset management software and advanced Excel skills
