We have an exciting opportunity for a Product & Systems Controller to work and be part of a very ambitious and forward-thinking UK Manufacturer, based in Hoddesdon. This role requires overseeing the products and systems updates and development for the whole company. This role offers a salary of £32,000-£40,000 (pro rata for part-time) depending on experience and the hours are negotiable as our client would consider either full-time or part-time hours.

Role & Responsibilities:

System Control

  • Get clear grasp of OGL and explore and implement operating efficiencies
  • Keeping all product details up to date and consistent across all systems including spec sheets, files, Design files, website and OGL
  • Clear out all obsolete products/codes
  • Get all system information into shape ready for migration into new operating system once we hit £12m sales revenue.

Pricing

  • Cost pricing update - rolling 6-month programme to ensure all pricing is correct within the system liaising with supplier to ensure pricing current and any projected price increases allowed for Project Alice
  • One off project to clear up all existing codes on the system and remove any obsolete codes.
  • Check and collate all relevant files per SKU including Spec sheet, files, technical drawings files, certificates of conformity and installation instructions

New Product development

  • Working with sales, procurement and internal/external CAD resource to bring new products to market.
  • Collating design input from Sales based on market requirements. This may involve development of existing products or completely new products
  • Includes acoustic products which involve in house manufacturing
  • Full set up, BOM creation, Pricing, sampling, testing
  • Communicating all features, benefits, USP’s to marketing to assist launch

New Product set up

  • Set up of bought in new products from existing or new manufacturers. Check all certifications and technical specifications etc.
  • Suggestions to come in from Sales and Director- led "New Products Team"
  • Work with all departments to get launched through standard agreed 4 weeks launch process right through to marketing
  • Full set up, BOM creation, Pricing, sampling, testing
  • Communicating all features, benefits, USP’s to marketing to assist launch
